Hi, I recently found this neat old lock in the bottom of a box of stuff I won at an auction. It looks like a miniature axe with a brass locking mechanism marked on one side with a letter ‘A’ and on the opposite side with a number ‘12’- there is no other writing or identifying information. It measures about 3 ¾″ in overall length X 2 ¼″ wide at what would be the cutting edge if it were an axe. That end is only about ⅛″ thick and at the opposite end it’s about ⅞″ thick. Can anyone help me ?
