I just acquired this safe a few days ago.
No combination and from pictures I looked at, on net and this forum,
I think it is a York.
On the handle is Y758 is this a serial number or code for the combination ??
While getting it home on my trailer, on its side, the floor looks like it was cut open,
as there is a patch of metal 10″×12″ with 6 screws holding it on.
I used a cut off wheel to get to screw heads off to look under the steel ( 1/16 " thick.)
I saw concrete so did not go further investigating
What is the sequence of opening this safe.
I used a stethoscope to hear the clicks so I think it is a 3 wheel combo.
Correct me if I’m wrong.
What is the sequence to find in the combo, listening for clicks with the stethoscope.
First there is a white dot under the 5 position and I can feel it lock there when I hold the handle
down to the right, so I’m assuming this is one of the notches where the fence falls in or where the
handle locks in the drive wheel.
