Sure, simply remove the lockcase, and align the change key holes (little squares) where the whole is in the lockcase, replace the case, insert the key and follow the instructions. Be sure and test the combination throughly before locking the safe / container.
The only reason this will be a problem is if the lock requires it’s security classification - in which case under no circumstances should you touch it - it must be done by an approved person.
