Going thorugh some of my old locks found this circa 1955? Chatwood Milner Grille gate lock (in Chrome plate) which as you can see isn’t in the best condition.
Having cut a couple of keys for it thought members might be interested in this as perhaps many of them have never seen one this is one that has so far escaped the scrap brass box!
Though it is stamped Chatwood Milner on the forend It looks to me perhaps more like a Milners idea Though no doubt someone more knowing will correct me on this if I’m wrong. Though the detachable bolt head is chromed mild steel.
It’s a neat idea though with the twin belly levers for double sided operation. But really its only one step further on than the safe deposit lock with the master and servant key actions If any one want more pictures let me know and will post up.
