Hello everyone! I am new to antique safes but got the bug for some reason. I am looking for some information on the one I brought home yesterday. These things are a different type of heavy. The owner said he used it in his business until the building collapsed on it. Unfortunately it sat face up in the weather for a month and filled with water. He also mentioned that he was told by the old lady that he got it from said it was originally from the Barnum Baileys Circus. Who knows if that is true but it is neat. The lock works well after using some penetrating oil. Looking at the inside door it appears to have a name and Pittsburgh painted at the bottom. I cannot find any other numbers or identifying marks on it. I plan on stripping it and doing a full restore. If anyone can tell me what make, model, date or anything would be appreciated. My hobbies focus on restoring old snowmobiles, arcade games and antique boat motors. I am still asking myself what I am going to do with this monster. š
