I am new to this forum, I have just restored a old milners safe and looking for some information about it.
It is stamped by the hinge 1864 - is this the year it was made?
The big serial number is on the safe, lock and handle so does that mean its all original to the safe?
The big pressed brass plate is that original to this model?
I know the escutcheon plate is not original because I ordered it off ebay and then had to alter it to make it fit.
