Thread size varies, and in a sense they are all “special”. My notes are a little spotty but Mosler seems to have used ¼-28 threads on spindles for safe locks while S&G and La Gard use 5/16-40.
For vault locks, S&G uses ⅜-30 (also on the 8400-series MP safe locks).
Diebold may have used ⅜-32 on safe locks at one time.
A Mosler document NS4004 lists 5/16-40 on the 120 and 1830 locks but it’s not clear if that’s for the original, or for their recommended replacement locks.
As for the style of dial, I can’t really help. S&G has used a variety of styles which have changed over the years and I assume Mosler was the same way. They were really big for many years on the “counter spy” dial introduced around 1953 which was later changed with a black insert.
