Help Identifying 2 old safes

I recently acquired two old safes that supposedly came out of the old First National Bank building in Birmingham, Alabama, about 50-55 years ago. The small safe has a Diebold lock mechanism in a round door on the top and a key operated door on the bottom. It has a Safe Manufacturers National Association plate on the front that reads:

X10 1299

SMNA Group 7 Catalog No. 455

Supposedly this safe was in the bank presidents office.

The larger safe has had all identifying plates removed, It has concrete betwen two layers of steel with a Sargent & Greenleaf combination lock in the main door. When you open the main door there is a thin steel door operated by a key. When you open that door, there are 2 large key locked doors at the top with 2 drawers under them. The bottom half of the safe has 3 storage shelves. I have attached pictures of both safes and would appreciate any help in identifying the manufacturer of the large safe and the age of both safes.

Hello and welcome. Sorry I can’t really help - US stuff is not something I have very much expertise in - but you have a couple of decent (if rather utilitarian) safes there.

there is a pic of the diebold lug door on page 56 of dave mc omie’s ‘safe opening vol.1’. the lock is a diebold 900, as you already know.
