When i looked at it, I was blown away by how well built the vaults were way back then. I kind of laughed and said “ya just bust it out of there and drag it out and cut it up no problem” I think they have no idea what they are in for. I cant wait to see the demo process. Anyway have any of you here seen such a demo and am i right to think they are in way over there heads ? here is some photos of it. sorry they are not real good for i was using my phone. I will be back in the building in a few weeks and will get better photos. as well i will be able to take photos of the demo as it happens. I am trying to get them to let me do a time lapse of the whole remodel. we’ll see.
I had a bank a few years ago build a new branch, the bank sold there old pressure door just like that, I came out and covered the door in grease so it wouldn’t rust up. I have no idea how much they sold it for. They dont make doors like that anymore. I also think the donsteel was there high end door, There is an article about it on the site somewhere.
The door looks like in good shape, i don’t see much rust. The sd boxes probably don’t have much value over scrap, even tho they are in good shape.
The sd boxes in the 2nd pic look like diebold 17505 locks, nothing special. I would like to see some better pics of the sd locks in the first pic. Some of the old locks are obsolete, which makes them have value, but i cant tell from your pics.
Go to some of the local banks and ask who services there equipment. Find some companies other than diebold and call them see if they wanna buy the old equipment.
