Child's Combination Coin Safe

My 83 year old mother has a coin safe similar to the one pictured here on Ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=281227956280&item=281227956280&lgeo=1&vectorid=229466 My father passed away a couple of years ago and she does not know where the combination is located. Is there a way to figure out the combination to this safe. This site and specifically, Mark, was very helpful in my finding out the combination to my old Gougler Keyless Lock from my Navy years. I am hopeful someone will be able to tell me how to figure out the combination. The mechanism appears relatively simple, but then again, so am I. Thanks in advance for any help.

This childs safe has a relatively simple combo lock mechanism which consists of two round disks each with a flat side which determines the numbers to open it.
If I need to open one like this without knowing the combination I grab the nose of the dial and pull out on it applying pressure and very slowly turn the dial to the left until I fell the door come out a little. This means I have arrived at the flat spot on the disk. I then very slowly turn the dial to the right continuing to pull on the nose with outward pressure until I reach the flat spot on the second disk and the safe door should open. If it does not work you may have to reverse the procedure and try the same technique but starting going to the right and then left. Most of this type of safe worked that way. Once you get it open you can thne redo the procedure with the door open and watch the wheels as they turn and when you see it gets to the flat spot you can check the dial and see what the numbers are.Good luck and this procedure will open most of this type of childs safe. Guy, thanks for the assistance. It was relatively easy to follow and once I had the door opened, I was able to insure I had the right combination for my mother to open it going forward. Thank you again and best wishes to your and your family this holiday season.
