A nice door. I agree that the slots are interestingly long and curved. I believe this could result in more secure locking of the bolts. Notice the bolt pins and slots alternate “high” and “low” to accomodate the geometry. It may not be as pretty as the one in Paris but it’s still attractive.
The door says “BPM” which is Banca Popolare di Milano, suggesting it’s in Milan (they currently have hundreds of branches and this could be an old bank somewhere else that BPM acquired). Also note a reflection of a uniformed guard in the door’s glass, and a reflection of somebody in a suit in the glass of the day gate. There is more text under the “BPM” but I can’t read it; I think it just says “Banca Popolare di Milano.”
Also, note 20 bolts instead of the more common 24.
Does anybody know where this door is, and/or any other Fichet doors (aside from the Paris door, discussed earlier)?
