engineer After visiting various safe / lock websites I have often seen a mention of the ‘Safe Museum’ Peterman has photos from the museum. Can any one tell me where it is ? I am dieing to visit and perhaps contribute to the displays. Many thanks Engineer
Adrian Weber I believe to remember that the safe museum does not exist any longer. Brian Morland has a small Museum but I am not sure if you can visit it without an appointment. The others may know more than I do.
Huw Eastwood Here’s a link which confirms the bad news: http://www.safeman.org.uk/safemuseum.htm Wound-up in 1990, with Tann’s apparently ‘disposing’ of the safes 1992
Tom Gordon engineer wroteAdrian & Tom. Thanks for your replies. How do I get in contact with Brian Morland ? at the top of this page there is a little bit - Team leader:Brian Morland Contact [unknown]
Anthony Hines Quite a few of the safes from the museum are now at our company in Basildon, some are buried behind dozens of other safes but once I can dig them out I will post some pictures
Huw Eastwood Don’t envy you having to shift that lot around! Looking forward to some pics though 🙁nerd): Hopefully some of the Chatwood cylinder safe and that big Ratner if you got them 🙁nod):
