Certainly different! I remember an unusual strongbox with 3 surface mounted locks in a row- Milner’s I think but it might have been Ratner. But to apply such simplicity to a door, that’s plain odd!

Unfortunately I can’t understand a word of the old print, so I’m wondering is there any mention of a free step-ladder included so shorter owners can reach the top lock? 🙁giggle):

The image isn’t great, but I could easily believe those are four rectangular bolts, not four lock bodies.

I think so- they’re far more likely to be bolts than individual locks. The image is poor but the heads of the fixing bolts or studs/nuts would more likely be that chunky they’d show up even on that image. If they were locks I suppose they could just have a backing plate with heavy countersunk screws- Milner’s style which wouldn’t show up, but I think it’s unlikely 🙁nod):
