This has to be a pretty old Mosler - I have never seen a logo like this.
I cleaned it up. It’s in perfect working order. Set a new combo & I’m totally proud of myself - I opened it on the first try !!!

It has a very short 1″ spindle, so I’m guessing it came off a thin steel door or a cabinet.

The bolt is not very beefy either.

That more than likely was off a light fire container or inner door of a larger safe, hence the lightness of design and shortness of shaft.

I noticed that the Mosler logo would be upside down if you put the dial to “0” on the index mark.
Is this a normal occurrence ? Or do I have a dollar bill bill with Washington upside-down…. :-)

Your lock is a model B-101, one of a series of stamped brass locks from the late 1920’s up into the 1950’s, when the 120 series diecast locks where introduced. The prior model was a cast brass version, known simply as the 101. Doug

I have just about 5 of these Mosler Combination safe lock. Has them for a long time as just sitting around in a box. I came up with this just for a show off and sure enough people love looking at it….
