I wonder if anyone can help. I bought a property which I am restoring. In one of the rooms I found a safe which on the escutcheon plate said C.H.Griffiths - 43 Cannon Street. This pleased me as I used to have an office at 46 Cannon Street. I started to remove the paint as it was in a pretty tatty condition and found the safe was originally quite decorative - I have pushed the contrast on the photo to make the decoration clearer. Does anyone have any more info in this model? Or photos of complete ones?
It says GRIFFITHS PATENT ***L SAFE - any ideas what the missing word might be? I think it is WALL but could it be anything else?
