Doug MacQueen This is the John Scott safe found at the Mt. Holly, N.J. Prison Museum. I am guessing it was made in the early 1830’s, just prior to his more common “Asbestos” safes. The large bronze log cabin slides to cover the key hole. Doug
Doug MacQueen Tom, I am sure it did have the wheels but nothing was known about their removal. Very strange. I just angled the camera so the safe would be straight up. Doug
