amryex - Has anyone ever heard of a lock called amryex? We have found the name on an old piece of iron, and have traced it to being possibly an ad for this lock. Does anyone know where the company was located and what years did they manufacture locks. thanks for any info.

Hi,

I believe the intials stand for AMERICAN RAILWAY EXPRESS. I think the lock is a Yale or Fraim brand. If I remember right the backside has a patent date stamped 1922….just going off memory…. This is a fairly common padlock.
