I found this lock while metal detecting. If anyone could give me any information about locks of this type. I believe the top of the lock says “hicks lock co” Which I found to be a lock manufacturer from the late 1890s to the early 1900s. I could not find anything else about the company besides the approximate years they were in business.
heres a few pictures of it. Its about 1 inch tall.
I have cleaned it further then those pictures show. The pins now move out with resistance, so the springs inside are still working.
