1930s ex council house rim lock with a key hole, not thumb

Hi i have bought an old council house and i amtrying to match as much as i can , back to the original fittings. I am trying to find some black rim locks, with key hole. the measurements of the the lock including the flanged edging is 5inches by 4 ½ inches. measuring just the lock body and not the flange bits is 4 ½ by 3. can anyone help me by letting me know where i can find some i am in suffolk but travel all over and have family in various places. i have tried uploading a picture but it would not let me, thanks

Hi,
so it a handed lock- in the picture you sent me, it points towards the left.
What is the distance exactly from the centre of the keyhole to the edge of the door and also the centre of the handle hole to the edge of the door

from the edge of the door to the centre of the key hole it is 1 ¼ inch. from the edge of door to the centre of handle hole it is between 3 ½ - 3 ¾ of an inch. thanks nick

Most modern rim locks are double handed. This means that they can be fitted either way up. Yours is handed and so the keyhole is slightly lower. Neither the distance from the edge of the door to the keyhole or distance to the handle hole are available on a new lock in the UK. The wavy edge to th lock is also not available new.
You are going to spend forever in salvage places if you ever manage to find a compatable lock at all.
I would strongly suggest that you look at other ways of doing it. If the door is painted then you can get a secondhand lock, fill and paint the door and fit the lock which looks nicest.
