Old lock to ID, please.

hello all,

here is my latest.
Could you ,please ID the beast.
I am aware some parts are missing, but could you tell me which and how they would look like.
Got 3 separate pieces with the lock.

It measures 21.5/17 cm. And weight is nearly 3.5 kg.
Front looks brass, the back wrought iron (to me!).

Very nice lock you have. The left hand part goes on the bottom left, but you have to flip it over up and over left. The middle piece looks like a stabilizer and bearing for the lock bolt at the far left. The right piece goes in between the keyholes also flipped over. Feel free to send it me and I will fit them in for you.

I see the bolt is manually operated on the outside by sliding the knob sideways when the key is turned halfway. Obviously a key is used on both inside and outside. Imagine the same key used on both sides but kinda hard to tell. Back cover plate is missing and the inside knob as well. I know of a very highly skilled blacksmith in Italy that could do all the work if you are interested.

I am far from expert on these, just interested in and appreciate the exquisite design and workmanship. My guess would be 1700’s French. Although it is a very basic latch lock, it obviously came out of a very skilled shop.
