Thought members would like to see this mid C18th brass rimlock which I recently acquired.
Note the ornamental faceting to the steelwork inside the lock,never to be seen when fitted to a door.
The bolt throws twice when the key is turned. Complete wit original key and ebony and brass knob. The lock is 11 inches long. An object of beauty !
