candado3 I am looking for key blanks for two small yale PTPK padlocks, The first is for the 1 ½ inch yale #903 padlock. According to the old catalogue it is #116 ½ The second is a small yale ptpk padlock measuring about 1″ across. I don’t have any idea of the key for this one. Any help with this is appreciated. Thanks

Thanks Old Yale 116-½ crosses to Keil 30B and Old Ilco 995BM both obsolete, Ilco Y8 is an extant longer version and should fit. Try Yale 10-½ which crosses to Ilco Y6 for the smaller padlock. nathanbonstein found a few keil 30A and ilco 994m both have to have shoulder removed 994m should still be fairly easy to get from locksmith/distributor the 30A not so easy to find i found these while looking for a key to fit a 840 yale corragated keyway/999ca or 8c4L didn’t work. The only one that fit was a 994m,seems odd but it fit Hope you got the 805f spring to work ? i did 2 more of them and they work ngreat

Pete Schifferli I’m told by someone more knowledgeable than myself that the cross references on Old Yale 116-½ taken from a source dated 1937 are apparently in error, sorry for the confusion. nathanbonstein regarding the 903 yale,i just finished one and had to bend the spring upward to fit in the groove. The way it was it was riding on the barrel just above the pin hole. Strange but it works good.

Strange but it works good. I looked at the photo of the broken spring on my lock and you can see the bend that was originally there. I guess that this type of spring didn’t take off was because the spring broke too often due to fatigue from opening and closing the lock. -see photo below [unknown]
