Just a quick introduction first: I’m a tool collector, not a lock collector, but have a strange fascination with old mechanical items and patents. During one of my tool hunts, I stumbled across this lock. Does anyone have any idea as to who made it or what it is for? The only markings are 63 on the side where the key fits and PAT.APP’DFOR and G on the opposite side.
