Lock Manufacturer Identification Needed - "G" on Key

I believe the lock deadbolt was installed in the 50s. Below is a picture of the key. Any assistance in identifying the manufacturer and/or key blank equivalent would be appreciated.

I believe your lock was manufactured by the former General Lock Co. of Pontiac, MI which was acquired by Schlage in 1972. I think the keys and/or cylinders were made in Germany. There were a large number of multiplex keyways, assuming your is 5-pin A8; try Ilco G198 key blank, see thumbnail attached.

Thank you. Your reference to Germany was spot on. About 25 years ago, the prior owner made a vague reference that the blanks could only be sourced “in” Germany. The key aligns with the G198 blank.

Regarding the German manufacturer: That would be DOM Sicherheitstechnik http://www.dom-group.eu/
Located in Brühl, Germany and named after the Cologne cathedral (“Kölner Dom”).
