1933??? I am afraid it is a bit older than that. Linus Yale Sr. patented the Quadruplex lock in 1844. I believe it was made for around 15 years or so. About 20 years ago, I was lucky enough to come across a 1850’s era Stearns and Marvin safe having such a lock, but missing the key. At the time, I had never heard of the lock nor seen a key. Here is a picture of the lock and the key I made, it being my first attempt at making a large key from scratch. I later found it should have been made of steel not brass. This particular lock was a 8 pin model, with 16 pin models also made. Senior’s son, Linus Yale Jr. did away with three of the four radial pin chambers, giving us the modern pin lock. Unfortunately, finding a key that will work your lock is extremely unlikely and original keys do not go cheap, as well as being hard to find. On the other hand, neither is having one made but at least it is guaranteed to work. Doug
