Gerry i have never seen a key like this. i got it from an us-collection. sure, it is not what it seems, its handmade but its not 14th century, its obviously later, maybe 19th century? i don’t know…… gerry
Doug MacQueen Gerry, what exactly is it that makes you feel it is not from the “Gothic” period? The finish too new? And is that a crack or a seam where the tube was rolled up? Doug
Gerry hello doug, 1 the bit isto small and formed with machines. 2 the tube has got a seam, it is zhe only part that could identify in old. 3 is made without seam, that very untypical. 4 looks old and handmade but there are signs of a vice.
