Hello,
I am a key collector, mostly for antique American made trunks that I restore. As the years have gone forward I’ve collected a lot of different types of keys. To date I would say I have over 8,000 keys. The other day I came across one I’ve never seen before. This key is made by Chatwood Safe Co, of Shrewsbury. I did a little research on them, but can’t seem to find any pictures of what the safe might look like.
So, now I’ve come to you guys for a little help!
The key is a solid barrel key that come to a point on the end. It is 2 inches in length and has the following key code on the other side. At the top of the key it reads: S72538 with the number 6 at the bottom. Can anyone help me out here? I’d like to know the age & what type of safe they open?
Thanks for any help you may be able to provide.
Micheal
