Is there any interest in mis stamped and mis maschined key blanks?

I have a good handful of mishits and mis machined blanks from my grandpas lock and key business.

That would depend. Are they coined with P & F Corbin, Russwin, Sargent, Yale and other lock manufactures or are they Ilco, Kiel, Gram or other after market key makers? If it was a key business I would guess a mix. The first group is worth just little bit. The later group is worth more in scrap. I could use some P&F Corbin and Russwin of the old coining. Maybe some Sargent and Yale.

The first two in the top row are house keys. The next one is a padlock key or a camlock key. The next two are car keys but I don’t remember what one outside it was sometime in the 1950ish times and I want to say Chrysler.

The second row is what looks like a Fort or Ilco lock Co cabinet key, The Yale I don’t know if I have seen one like it but I would guess wafer lock. The third one is for a door lock but I can’t read anything on it. Next is the uncut Chicago padlock or camlock key. The last two are small padlock keys.

Better pictures might help nail down some of this.

I think that the crank on the yale was to stop a worn key jumping out of the ignition .

The two automotive on the top row are commonly known as Omega keys as that was the brand name they typically wore. They were Yale products and I thnik for Ford. The purpose of the offset may have had many uses but the May, 1933 patent 1,906,701 claims pick resistance.

The third from the left on the bottom row is a Chicago Hardware key blank, not to be confused with the Chicago Lock Co. I would be interested in owning that key as I have a couple of blanks but they are both the same keyway and I’m not sure a match for that one.
