William Hall “Grasshopper” lock as used by Herring Safe Co. This job came my way recently where the entire lever pack assembly was missing from the lock. And of course a key. This was my first attempt at making large levers and not have samples to measure I knew it would be a challenge. After a little digging through some of my safe info on Herring safes, I found that Ed Willis had made a nice drawing of the lock. Without Ed’s drawing I would still be working on the levers. I will post some more pics as soon as I can resize them.
