We got an old L.H. Miller safe (weighs a ton)with an interesting lock on it (that works) and we just wanted to know what this lock is called. The lock is a knob in the center of the safe door that you pull out and slip a brass key (more of a pin, straight with holes cut in it) inside it, push the knob back in and then you can open the safe handle. We called a locksmith and they said they never heard of anything like it. We think the safe is from around 1940’s (based on our research) it was from an old restaurant.
