Yale & Towne Triple dial Time Lock

We have a Yale & Towne triple dial time lock. It has “The Yale & Towne Mf’G Co Stockwells’ Patent July 19th 1892 on the top part of the white enamel dials and is numbered from 28719-28721 with Stamford, Conn. on the bottom.” The dials have from 0-72 in increments of 4 on each of the dials.
I have tried to get information about it on line and I can’t find any. I have called a few appraisers in the area and was told I would have to do outside research because they aren’t familiar with this item.
Any information you have on this will be appreciated.

I assume you only have the part shown in the photo’s ? (ie - you don’t have the case ?)

What you have is the platform and movements from a Yale & Towne Triple ‘ L ’ timelock. This model was produced in very large numbers (16,000 - See “American Genius - Nineteenth Century Bank Locks and Time Locks” )

As such the value is only really going to be the value of the movements, if they are in good working order they are going to be worth around $50 each. If they don’t work or require attention the value is going to be lower.
