Help opening china cabinet with no skeleton key.

Can anyone tell me how to open my Grandma’s china cabinet without the skeleton key? The trim supporting the glass on the door has come off, & the glass is falling inward, pulling the outside trim glued to it apart. We need to get it open to repair & use the cabinet. I can see about getting a key later…..maybe! Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Any chance that the hinges are screwed on from the outside? Or if not, if the glass is loose and is in, can you reach inside and unscrew the hinges from the inside? Most locksmiths could pick it fairly easily, but the service call will probably cost you quite a bit. Good luck. Oldbiscuit

If the glass movement will allow, then you may be able to unscrew the lock at which point the door will open and you can take the lock to a locksmih for him to make a key to it.
