Protector RP37E

Hello,
I finally found the time to post some photos of a lock from my collection.

It’s a Kormer Protector RP37E with it’s original boltwork and key. The Protector has the number 345090. I guess it’s dates the late 1930s. If anyone has a list of the numbers and when they were produced, I’m pleased to get a scan, .txt or something like it. The lock has 11 lever, 10 of the lever are parted. When you have more detailed information’s feel free to post it. I planing to post some other locks of mine in the future. I looking forward to see some locks from other collections.

Kromers used to have some records, but seem unwilling to assist collectors re dating items.

That’s quite odd. It looks like the key is a double bitted key, with an offset (it isn’t straight across, one beard is slightly further round than 180 degrees from the other) but the keyhole is straight. Is this a trick of the light in the pictures, or what?

Hi NTK,
The key is straight, too. But the sides of the Bit are not parallel. The beard has the shape of the keyhole. As you can see in the picture. That very common at old German locks.

Thanks for the photo. If you look in the 1st, 3rd and especially 4th photos, you can see the illusion I mean. But that clears it up nicely, it’s because the sides aren’t flat.
