Swiss Bank four dial lock, need help!

Hello!
Any one familiar with this kind of lock here?

It is from a Swiss Bank Vault from the 1920’s. The Problem is that I can open it with any Code. But if I put the correct code, it is locked.
It seems that it was kind of manipulated, also that some parts are missing?

Hope to get help here from a expert 🙂

That being the case I think you should contact a company that services the safe deposit box stores. If they can’t help send it to me. I specialize in the repair of locking mechanism of all types.

Have you looked properly at the site Doug recommended as from what I can see they still have them listed as framed versions, IIRC they were selling them loose only a few years ago. From their home page click on >‘framed locks’ then >‘combination’.
I’ve also seen good pictures elsewhere on the net of that type at different stages of disassembly, showing the various components, so whatever’s wrong, parts missing or not engaging, slipping etc, shouldn’t be too difficult to figure it out.

Wow! nice lock. I just look up as what Doug and Huw said and there also patent number 76169 on it. Maybe give you some idea of what you need. Good luck! ……Timothy……
